Daiwa Chandelier Doughnut. Digital fine art print (with hand-drawn detail) 80 x 140cm In the City of London Daiwa Capital Markets have a building with a stunning chandelier. It is the largest in the UK after the one in Buckingham Palace. I photographed it then used my Wacom Board to introduce hand-drawn elements and to colour individual crystals.
Corfu Washday. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm One of those lucky days out with my camera, I saw a washing line full of furry animals strung across a cobalt blue sky in Old Corfu town. I love the toys' shadows. Art can be joyous and whimsical.
Arch of Galerius. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm This is the Roman triumphal arch found in the centre of Thessaloniki, Greece - a beautiful example of Byzantine architecture. I didn't want a "touristy" photograph of it but to show its beauty and detail as a great imposing arc across the sky.
Portal 7731, Lava doughnut series. Digital fine art print (with hand-drawn detail) 80 x 120cm I make these as "three-level" artworks with hand-made oil-marbled paper, a template, and then I use a Wacom tablet to introduce drawing and painting elements to the piece. The doughnut motif allows me to explore light/dark/colour/shape/line and texture in endless variations.
Exchange Flags Lambanana. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm In my birth city of Liverpool, I took many photographs of the Lambanana sculptures placed all over the city as part of the European City of Culture Festival in 2008. I set this one against the backdrop of the Town Hall. I like using atypical angles, texture and supersaturated colour in my photographs.
Hell's Kitchen Devil. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm I liked the inflatable devil, in fine fettle on this day - sometimes he's a bit stooped and deflated! I also wanted to accentuate the flower head lurking in the background atop a mannequin. A lot of my photographs are serendipitous . . .

A Thing of Beauty. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm Sometimes, ordinary mundane things can be very striking. I enjoy using Photoshop filters to add texture and depth to my images as well as enabling me to add hand-painted detail.
Down 5th Avenue. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm The cityscape in New York is staggering, and I had a birds-eye view of the night sky right down to the Verrazzano Bridge from the Empire State Building. There is something joyful about seeing it all lit up at night, and as far away as Staten Island.
Pink Poppy. Digital fine art print 76 x 134cm I adore poppies and always stop to photograph them wherever I see them. This was in the front garden of a near-neighbour's house. Pink poppies are particularly lovely, and I enjoy using Photoshop filters to add texture and depth to my images.
Queen of the Skies. Digital fine art print (with hand-drawn detail) 80 x 120cm We were moving towards the runway at Heathrow, taxiing for take-off and I only had a few seconds to get this photograph through my small window. In the original the Jumbo's nose and the entire strip down the right hand side were missing so I had to draw it in. I was quite pleased with the result ;-)
Unfinished Jumbo. Not for Sale. This is to show what was missing from the Queen of the Skies image and how I had to draw and paint it in from my imagination as I did not want all of the extraneous airfield and hangar furniture in the artwork!

Empire State Building. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm This is one of my favourite buildings in New York due to its old-school grandeur and superb build quality. I wanted the silhouette against a moody sky.
C. Circles Essence. Digital fine art print from steel-plate intaglio 80 x 110cm These prints are from a series of rubbings I did of manhole covers in Bloomsbury! I used oil-based lithographic crayons and then transferred the drawings on to steel plates, which enabled me to add hand-drawn detail and light delicate watercolour qualities, etched on to steel with nitric acid.

Pier Head Lambanana. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm In 2008 I spent ten days walking/driving all over Liverpool to photograph the Lambanana sculptures. With this image I wanted it highly-coloured in contrast to the grey stone-clad buildings around it.

Lord Mayor's Coach 1757. Digital fine art print 90 x 120cm For a while I worked for the City of London, and got special dispensation to privately photograph the Lord Mayor's State Coach. As it is priceless, they had to lock me in the Coach House so it remained secure!

Car-sized Poppy. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm I adore poppies and always stop to photograph them wherever I see them. C. Circles Eclipse. Digital fine art print from original steel-plate intaglio etching 80 x 110cm One of a series of intaglio prints I made on the theme of concentric circles, from a lithographic-crayon rubbing of a manhole cover. I have reworked this image to add shading and hand-drawn pencil lines using my Wacom tablet.
Technicolour Roses. Digital fine art print 80 x 120cm These roses were on a flower stall and look like they've been hand-coloured but they are real! I wanted to use a half-tone background to complement the striking colour of the roses.
